Hip hop is not what you see on TV. It's not about girls shaking their body parts. It's not about acting like you're a badass with a gun. It's something that most people will never understand because of the negativity that's being portrayed.
What I saw today was something that not many can understand nor see... real hip hop. real people doing this stuff, the origins. In the subway the partying, the positivity...
*sighs* it was happy. full of posivity. in the subway train. :) 2 weeks til the next one.
Now back on here at home, all I feel is negativity. that HAS to change in this room, in this household. Because I don't want to end up like people who have no backbone, or people who just bitch at EVERYTHING in life. Honestly, if you have to say negative about EVERYTHING, then all you're doing is bringing people down, not "keeping it real". Life isn't all good, nor all bad. So cut the shit out about "life sucks all the time blah blah blah." No asshole, life is neutral.
Hmm.. I have to stop concentrating on the negative aspects either.
But back to the subject. Beatboxers keeping the beat going, people rapping randomly on the subway train, most of us dancing in one form or another. Violinst, flutist.. we made the music.
And I have it recorded too! :) This is the real voice of the street.
